Sunset Cemetery – Christiansburg – Montgomery County – United States

Sunset Cemetery is located at 501 South Franklin Street in Christiansburg, Montgomery County, Virginia, and is owned and operated by the Town of Christiansburg. The site includes land where a fatal duel occurred in 1808; the Christiansburg Cemetery Company purchased the cemetery in 1891, and the town assumed ownership in 2008. More than 15,000 burial records are maintained, including those of prominent local residents and soldiers from several Confederate Virginia infantry regiments.
