Description
Old St. Dympna's Cemetery, located at Kildavnet, surrounds the remains of a small church believed to date back to the 12th century, though extensively renovated over time. The site served as a Catholic chapel in the 19th century and includes an ancient graveyard with unmarked graves of famine victims (1845–1848) and a memorial for the Clew Bay disaster of 1894. A Holy Well lies just outside the graveyard near the shore.
