Oakland Cemetery is a historic municipal cemetery in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, near the Old Fourth Ward.

Founded in 1850 as Atlanta Cemetery, it was the city’s first municipal burial ground.

The cemetery spans 48 acres and contains more than 70,000 burials, including those of Margaret Mitchell, Bobby Jones, six Georgia governors, and numerous Atlanta mayors.
