Description

Maudlins Cemetery in Naas, Ireland, is a Church of Ireland cemetery known for its two pyramid-shaped mausoleums and as the burial site of local Anglo-Norman aristocracy. The cemetery dates back to a 1780 donation by John Bourke, 1st Earl of Mayo, with expansions in 1889. The west pyramid honors Anne de Burgh, wife of Walter Hussey Burgh, while the east pyramid likely belongs to another De Burgh family member. The pyramids were restored in 2020 with €65,000 from the Follies Trust.
