Green River Cemetery – Springs – Suffolk County – United States

Green River Cemetery is located on Accabonac Road in the hamlet of Springs, within the Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.

It is a small, non-denominational cemetery originally established for local working families, including the Bonackers of Springs.

The cemetery became widely known after artist Jackson Pollock was buried there in 1956.

Pollock, Lee Krasner, and other artists and writers are interred on its grounds.
