Description
Green Cemetery is located on Bedford Road in Carlisle, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
The Town of Carlisle owns and manages it as one of the town’s two municipal cemeteries.
It began as a private burial plot for the Green family and was acquired by the town in 1837 before later expansions.
A town report describes the active cemetery as covering about nine acres and containing 2,741 graves, with historic features including Wilson Memorial Chapel and the Richardson Mausoleum.
