Description
Cruagh Cemetery, located in Dublin, features an enclosed site with a three-stage circular-plan former watchtower, dating from around 1820. The tower, now disused, has a blocked door to the north and slit windows with metal latticework frames. The lower storey is rendered rubble, with a brick wall and crenellations above. The cemetery is situated amidst the fragmentary wall footings of a medieval church, and the rubble stone enclosure wall includes a caretaker’s cottage with blocked openings, a hipped roof, and high chimney stacks.
