Barrancas National Cemetery – Pensacola – United States

Barrancas National Cemetery is located within Naval Air Station Pensacola in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, about eight miles southwest of downtown.

It originated as a small cemetery serving the local U.

Marine Hospital and was expanded in 1838 as a naval cemetery.

In 1868, it was transferred to the War Department and designated a national cemetery; the grounds include an 1884 monument to eight Navy Yard Marines who died in a yellow-fever epidemic.
