Evergreen Cemetery – Q29445 – United States

Evergreen Cemetery is a municipal cemetery at 601 Seater Street in downtown Juneau, Alaska.

It became active in 1891 and was deeded to the City and Borough of Juneau in 1907.

The cemetery is operated and maintained by the borough’s Parks and Recreation Department and includes the graves of Juneau founders Joseph Juneau and Richard Harris.

It is also a Level I accredited arboretum containing 41 species, varieties, and cultivars of trees and woody shrubs.
