Description
Davidson College Cemetery is located on the west side of North Main Street in Davidson, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Established soon after Davidson College was founded, it contains gravestones dating from 1838 through the mid-20th century.
The roughly two-acre cemetery remains Davidson College property and is part of the Davidson Historic District.
Its notable features include graves of college faculty and their families, as well as an 1889 obelisk honoring Confederate General and former mathematics professor D.
