Description
Dignowity Cemetery is a non-sectarian cemetery at 339 Potomac Street in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.
Established around 1872, it began as a family cemetery created by Amanda Dignowity on a two-acre tract.
The grounds were later opened to non-family burials, and the City of San Antonio assumed ownership in 1947 after the cemetery was declared abandoned.
It forms part of San Antonio’s historic east-side cemetery landscape.
