Notable burials include Revolutionary-era officer John Barnwell, Confederate generals Richard H. Anderson and Stephen Elliott Jr., and longtime rector Joseph R. Walker. The churchyard also includes graves of two British officers killed near Port Royal on February 3, 1779, and 14 identified Patriot gravesites. Visitors are asked to remain on designated paths, avoid walking on grave plots, and refrain from gravestone rubbings.
