Description
Evergreen Cemetery is located in Vinton, Taylor Township, Benton County, Iowa, in Section 22.
It was originally laid out in 1853 and later expanded as additional land was acquired.
In 1913, the cemetery trustees purchased an 11-acre tract that was platted into approximately 500 lots.
Historical improvements included more than a mile of macadamized driveways, trees, shrubs, and ornamental entrances.
